Coconut-soy blend, cotton wicks, no synthetic hardeners. Six scents, cured two weeks before anything ships.
Each pour is logged by hand against a batch number. When something sells out, it's gone until the next run.
Blended in small pots, never more than four at once, so the temperature stays even across the batch.
Fragrance load is measured to the gram against the wax weight, logged in a notebook, not a spreadsheet.
Poured at a set temperature, wicks centered by hand, left to set undisturbed overnight.
Shelved and dated. Nothing ships before its cure window is up — the scent needs the time to bind.
Faint Oak started in 2019 as six candles made for a holiday market table. It's still a one-person operation — I melt, scent, pour, and pack every order myself, in batches small enough that I can tell you exactly which tray yours came from.
No fragrance house minimums, no outsourced pouring. If a scent isn't right, I hold the batch and try again the following week.
Roughly 45–50 hours per jar, trimmed wick and burned in reasonable intervals. Burn times drop if you let it run for more than four hours at a stretch.
Batch 14 is curing now and ships October 24th. Sign up below and you'll get a note the morning orders open, usually a few days before the ship date.
Sometimes — reply to any order confirmation with what you're after. No promises, but a few of the current six started exactly that way.
If a jar arrives cracked or the wick was off-center at the pour, email a photo within 14 days and I'll send a replacement from the next batch, no questions asked.
One email when a batch opens for orders. Nothing else.
